Calendar Posting Policy


The Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce (HACC) had developed a community calendar to promote the exchange of information about activities and events happening in the Hampton area. A calendar posting policy has been created to maintain consistent standards. The HACC reserves the right to remove any information from the site that violates the following guidelines or is otherwise in violation of the law. The HACC does not discriminate based on sex, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender orientation, ethnicity, culture, religion or socio-economic status.

Information submitted to HACC for posting must not include any of the following:

* Material that is pornographic in nature

* Material that is offensive to the on-line community, including blatant expressions or bigotry, prejudice, racism, hatred or profanity

* Instructional material or information about illegal activities, or promoting physical harm or injury against any group or individual

* Material that defames any person or group

* Information that promotes or solicits participation in multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes

* Material that exploits children under 18 years of age

* Using the calendar to direct people to links that would connect them to other sites that violate the above policies

* Using the calendar for purposes that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, patents trade secrets or inappropriately use other types of intellectual property



Guidelines:

Events will be posted on the calendar at the earliest convenience of the HACC staff.

The submitted calendar item must be a community event that is open to the public.

The submitted calendar item cannot be a discount or sale that is being advertised or an ongoing fundraising drive.

Entry form must be complete with all information requested on the entry form. It will not be listed if all information is not provided.

Event listings are limited to activities and events within in the Hampton area community (subject to final approval of HACC).

All submitted entries will be approved by the HACC staff prior to final posting. The HACC staff reserves the right to edit and/or omit content without notice at his/her discretion. Submitted events that are in violation of the above policies will be deleted immediately. Organizations and/or individuals submitting information to be posted on the calendar agree to indemnify and hold harmless HACC for any loss, liability, claim, damage and expenses. HACC is not responsible for the claims or actions of other entities that may be contacted through the links to the calendar.
