What does the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce do?  Why should I be a member and what do members get in return?  When you support the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce - you support the community as a WHOLE.  Members make it possible for the Chamber to provide products, services and events to the community. 


Business and Community Referrals/Information - The chamber received hundreds of requests for recommendations on goods and services pertaining to the Hampton area for business referrals and community information.  We strive to refer chamber members only. 

Business After Hours - Any Chamber member can host a Business After Hours to provide a social networking opportunity for business reps.  The Chamber promotes the Business After Hours in newsletters, news briefs and provide the hosting business with Chamber mailing labels. 

Buy It Guide - A yearly membership directory is produced listing only members.  Each member gets one free category listing.  The Buy it Guides are dispersed in the Hampton Chronicle and throughout the Hampton area. 

Chamber Bucks - Thousands of dollars worth of Chamber gift certificates, which can only be spent with Chamber members, are sold each year.  $62,405.00 chamber bucks were sold in 2008, which increased the local economy by $436,835.00

Chamber Member Mailing Labels - Chamber member mailing labels are available to Chamber members for $20.00 and non members for $30.00.  This works great for bulk mailing purposes. 

Chamber Website - The website serves as the number one community information website.  Membership directory, chamber board, chamber and community events, community information, visitor information, relocation information and education information are provided.  In 2008, there were 36,635 visits to the Chamber website.

Committee Participation - Only Chamber member employees can participate in committees - which is a great way for your business to be involved in the community.  

Hampton Chamber GO 5 card - Participate for free in the Hampton discount card.  Create traffic flow in your business and encourage residents to shop local. 

Hampton Welcome Program - Participate in the new resident program free.  Another great way to promote your business/organization to new residents. 

Member Window Cling - Proudly display a free member window cling stating you are a chamber member.  This lets you customers know you support the local chamber of commerce and that you care about your community.

Monthly Newsletter - Each Chamber member receives a free monthly Chamber (Center 1) newsletter.  The newsletter provides business/education suggestions, member news, Chamber news and community news.  It is a great way to know what is happening in the Chamber. 

New Resident Information - A booklet is created listing only chamber members for new resident purposes. 

Publications & Brochures - The Chamber office provides a one stop shop for community information. Many brochures and publications are provided in our brochures racks. 

Retail Hotline - A telephone tree alerts businesses of bad checks when advised from the Hampton Police Department.  An email blitz alerts businesses of scams such as deceptive advertising scams. 

Sponsorship Opportunities - The Chamber has a variety of sponsorship opportunities throughout the year that only chamber members can sponsor - another great way to advertise your business. 

Tax Deduction - Chamber membership investment is deductible as a necessary business expense. 

Website Membership Directory - Each member is listed on the online directory.  In 2008, there were 2298 member online inquiries.
